the curious lepidopteron lifecycle

From: leger de maine (legerdemaine@hotmail.com) | Date: 2002-04-20 22:52:48 UTC-04:00
A couple of weeks ago, I set loose the postal traveler, Flutterby.  As many of you may have guessed, Wanda and Pete were the first recipients... and why not?  It would have been wrong to let anyone else stamp in first.  It became clear to me, almost immediately, that these two were having a hard time letting go of this objet d'art, so it is with my blessing that our two little social butterflies will keep charge of it until the May11th Gathering at Sleeping Giant.  All you southern New England 'boxers who would like to stamp into this box should catch up with them between now and then, or be there at the Gathering... where some lucky soul (to be determined by lot) will get to take it next... and agree to put it in the mail.

I'm looking forward to getting this back someday, with the journal full of personal stamps (this is really just a clever way to up my X-count).

Gee, I guess I can stop checking my mailbox with anticipation...darn,
would have been nice to be able to stamp in before Wanda and Pete at
least once....

So your X (meeting) count goes up without actually having to meet anybody?
